Sewing Your Perfect Size Blouse Pattern

Your Crina PDF pattern
Preferred fabric
Color matching thread
50 cm hidden zipper
1 pair of shoulder pads - 2 cm thick
Reinforcement thread for shoulders and front neckline
Interlining
Sewing machine

Seam Allowances

1 cm seam
1.4 cm hem

Suggested Fabrics:

viscose, rayon, silk, light linen, light weight woven fabric

How much fabric do you need for your diy blouse?

In order to make sure you have enough fabric for your project, it is important to calculate the amount of fabric you will need. Based on the table below, you can estimate how much fabric is needed for each size, assuming that the chosen fabric has a useful width of 140-150 cm. Changes in fabric width or design (stripes, plaids, etc.) will require adjustments to placement of patterns. By taking the time to do this calculation before you start your project, you can avoid running out of fabric halfway through.

Check your contraction!

It's important to make sure that the fabric has been properly contracted first. Otherwise, you risk the finished product being a different size than what you were hoping for. The best way to check if a fabric has contraction is to iron it with steam. So, before you start cutting, be sure to contract your fabric first!

How To Sew It!

Sewing A Wrapped Blouse - Instructions

Apply interlining on the 2 parts of the back facings
Iron the reinforcing thread (1cm wide) on the shoulders of the back patterns and on the front on the neckline, starting from the shoulder to the waist notch (you can also use this stripes of interlining)
Overlock the inner edges of the face (neckline), as well as the semicircle in the waist area.
Overlock the back pieces, center and sides
In the free space(the side <), the right chest is inserted, up to half, thus creating the knot. Then sew the right side of the bust in the semicircle area. Iron the seams
Bend and sew the neckline seam allowance according to the notch on the shoulder and iron to the waist.
Take the left chest and sew the semicircle (<) to the notch, leaving a free space.
Fold the folds on the sides of the faces
Apply the facing on the 2 back parts
Sew the shoulders, overlock the seam allowance and iron
A flattening seam is sewn at 2mm through the plate and the 2seam allowances
Bend inwards the hem of the sleeves according to the notches, sew them and iron.
Sew the sleeves in the armhole, taking care to meet the notches, overlock and iron
Close the sleeves and the blouse on the side, starting from the end of the sleeve to the end of the blouse, overlock and iron the seam
Sew the center back seam, starting from the zipper notch - down.
Sew the hidden zipper
Dress the shoulder pads in the cover and apply them on the edge of the shoulder, with a hand stitch
Turn the hem of the blouse 1 cm inwards and sew around, starting from the waist
